Summer Exam Solutions

Today's Exam was a proper taste of Project Maths. All questions were taken from the 2011-2013 Project Maths Papers, SEC Sample Papers or Mock exams 2013. The timing of the exam with 2 hours for 200 marks exactly mirrors the real thing.

Statistics Summer Exam Question

5/25/2013

The summer exam question in this area will require you to be able to comment on the validity of example of a sample. This will require you to be distinguish between sampling methods and comment on bias.

You may also be required to comment on 'central tendencies' (ie. mean, mode and median) and measures of spread (range and standard deviation).

Well done to all who represented the class in the sing star marathon on Friday. It was great to end the year with the same - give it a go - positive atmosphere that I have experienced from the class all year.
If you haven't had the chance to complete the end of year feedback I'd be grateful if you could when you get a chance - click link below.

Today we revised Area and Volume. Summary notes were handed out (linked right). You should in addition to these notes know how to get the area of a polygon (see below - click here for PDF version)

We also reviewed how to change a complex number into polar form and use deMoivre's theorem.

HW- see if you can complete online tests in Complex Numbers from yesterday.
